Our Packaging
Perishable Foods
Perishable foods, such as creamy or blue cheeses and some fish & seafood preserves all year round, and all cheeses and some charcuterie during the hot months, typically from mid-May to the end of September, are optimally packed and temperature controlled with 100% recyclable thermal insulation packaging and non-toxic refrigerant gel packs which keep the food items at the adequate cool temperature up to 48 hours. Due to the limited time with controlled temperature, these products could only be offered using Express 24h / Next Day delivery.
Cheeses and charcuterie food items are usually shipped in vacuum-sealed packaging for greatly extended freshness and shelf life until opened.
To further contain temperature escalation during shipping transit, we fill any empty space with specialized foam to minimize air circulation.
We do all we can to ensure that these sensitive food products arrive as fresh as possible to you, leaving our warehouse in perfect condition and temperature until minutes before our international shipping partner collects them.
Please be available to receive your shipment so that you can inspect it and refrigerate or freeze perishable items as soon as possible.
Please note: Our products are always shipped so they will arrive at your door in optimal condition. Whenever possible – such as in periods of cooler ambient temperatures – we try to use less packaging, more recyclable materials and avoid unnecessary shipping waste.
General Packaging Practices
We pack all other products with recycled boxes and adequate recyclable protective packaging to avoid both breakages during transportation transit and also internal movements within the box. We work with multiple box sizes to minimize unnecessary shipping waste.
All our orders are shipped directly from our warehouse in the Maresme of Barcelona to your home by either 24h / Next Day delivery or Standard delivery.
Wine and Alcohol bottles
We pack wine and alcohol bottles in protective boxes for bottles to assure no breakage/damages during their transit to your home.
